"Eggcellent Day"

In truth this should have been posted on Easter but whats a few days.  My little darlings were having to much fun coloring their eggs.  Maegan my sweet girl was letting her beauty shine through.  She was taking this egg decorating very serious.  See look at her.  Then little Harris he just likes to color them thats the fun part for him.  It's really about all the attention span he can muster up.  Then he's done.  But Meg oh no this was an all day thing.  Really I think it was therapy for her.  Do 12yr olds need therapy?  Well anyway if they did I would recommend this.  My little creative spirit.  I just love those little babies (not so little anymore).  Here's a few more picks of our rainy Easter Day.

Tiny Trinkets Box

My lastest little thing I love.  Because they are so cute and fun.  I call it "Tiny Trinkets" you know so you can put tiny trinkets in it.  Fun huh!  Here it is.

Thats it, thats about the only way to photo it too.  It's cuter in person.  Then I did this photo cube it turned out pretty cute too.

See you can place photos on all four sides.  It's like a lazy susan it spins around.  Fun Stuff I tell ya.

A Cross Walk

Today is Easter Sunday, as I sit and reflect what this day means in our history of Christianity.  Memories of past sermons flood back to me.  For weeks perhaps a sort of lent for me has been the question.  What is a Cross Walk?  What does a "Cross" mean to me in everyday life.  As I reflect on sermons past this one always gets to me.  So bare with me as I try to convey this to you.  In a children's Sunday school class the lesson was to take an empty egg and put something that reminded them of Easter.  There was one particular child with down syndrome in the class and as the kids were busy thinking of what to put in their eggs this sweet boy was watching.  All the kids gathered around and shared various things of what they had placed in their eggs.  Then it came around to this sweet boy and the teacher was nervous for him because she knew he had nothing in his egg.  As she asked him about his egg he told her it was empty. She replied it's empty and he replied yes the tomb was empty. What a lesson!  I love, love, love that story.  So back to "A Cross
Walk".   Our life everyday is a Cross walk. So what kind of Cross do you carry?  What does a Cross mean to you?  Is it a decoration in your house, is it something you wear around your neck or something that hangs from your car mirror.  Do you see it through out your day.  Is it something that marks a grave site of a loved one that has moved on. While I think of all the ways we display this symbol in our everyday lives.  The meaning is so deep.  The Cross to me on this day is a huge loss and huge gain at the same time.  So as we go through this Easter Sunday and spend the day with our families.  Reflect on the Cross, days past and the symbol of not only loss and great sadness but new beginnings.  Because as the bible story goes the tomb was empty after a horrific crucifixion all for the chance to have a New Beginning!  God is Good all the time!  Blessings to you and yours on this Holy day.
